About J. Daniel Hollinger

Since 2008, Daniel Hollinger has served as President and Principal Consultant at Hollinger International. He founded the company to provide consulting services to those interested in starting a private or charter school. Through his company, Daniel Hollinger also provides assistance with school improvement issues such as faculty and staff recruitment, school leadership, team assessments, and public relations. For clients interested in the International Baccalaureate Programme, Dannyollinger assists with design, authorization, and implementation for the primary, middle, and diploma years.

Before founding his company, Danny Hollinger founded and led Rock Creek International School and Coeus International School. Both schools were designed to accommodate the needs of a diverse group of students while providing a challenging curriculum that meets students' intellectual and social needs. In the school startup phase, he designed and delivered dual-language International Baccalaureate Programmes in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish and created international exchange programs promoting cross-cultural understanding.

Danny Hollinger holds a PhD in Education from the University of Virginia and a Master's degree in Special Education from American University. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Maryland. His professional interests in private school management and academic school coaching grew out of his post-collegiate experience as a teacher and administrator working with special education students at the US Virgin Islands Department of Education and the Center for Unique Learners.

In his free time, Daniel Hollinger enjoys hiking, biking, and camping. He also is involved with several charitable organizations, including Mennonite Disaster Service, Mennonite Central Committee, Save the Children, Habitat for Humanity International, Teachers Without Borders, Toys for Tots, World Vision, Heifer Project International, and the American Friends Service Committee.
