Hospital Administrator and Insurance Executive
Before becoming an executive vice president at Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers, Jeanne Braun acquired years of experience in hospital administration. Jeanne Braun received her bachelor of arts in community health from Queens College at the City University of New York and earned her master’s degree in public administration at the School of Public Health at Long Island University.
Ms. Braun served as an administrator at several New York hospitals for a combined total of over 15 years and then transitioned to a career in medical professional liability insurance. Applying her knowledge of health care administration to the insurance field, she has generated over $1 billion in premiums for Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers since 1994.
Ms. Braun has served as president of the New York chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society and as a board member of the Long Island Insurance Community. She has also been a member of many professional insurance organizations, including the Healthcare Financial Managers Association, the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, and the Society of Healthcare Risk Management, among others.
