About Jeffrey T. Nagasaki
Jeffrey T. Nagasaki brings more than 30 years of experience to his current position as founder of Nagasaki & Associates in Torrance, California. Since opening the sole proprietor firm in 2005, Jeff Nagasaki has provided real estate consulting and valuation services for both the public and private sectors following the Uniform Standards of Professional Practice. He gained expertise in his field through years of appraising and valuating property throughout Southern California. Jeffrey T. Nagasaki launched his career as an Assistant Vice President working with Security Pacific National Bank, where for seven years he conducted real property valuations for retail, office, industrial, and various residential properties, including condominiums, subdivisions, and single-family homes. He later joined Lea Associates, Inc., where he spent 20 years as Senior Vice President responsible for the company’s real estate appraisal and consulting services. He gained expert knowledge in various property rights, such as leased fee, fee simple, and leasehold interest.
Educated in California, Jeff Nagasaki earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from California State University, Long Beach. He specialized in real estate finance and financial management. Beyond his undergraduate studies, he has continuously expanded his knowledge of the industry through seminars and completion of courses offered through the Appraisal Institute, a global organization for professional appraisers, in which he holds membership. Nagasaki also holds associate membership in the Institute of Real Estate Management and certification with the State of California as a General Real Estate Appraiser.
Jeffrey T. Nagasaki’s superior qualifications and experience allow him to serve as an expert witness in court matters related to real estate. He has testified before the Superior Courts of several California counties, including Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange. He also supplies expert witness testimony for binding and non-binding arbitration hearings.
Institute of Real Estate Management Sponsors Leadership Summit
Since 2005, Jeffrey “Jeff” T. Nagasaki has owned and led Nagasaki & Associates, located in Torrance, California. To stay up-to-date with changes in the industry, Jeffrey T. Nagasaki belongs to the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), where he is an associate member.
An international community of real estate managers, the IREM promotes management through education. Established more than 80 years ago, the organization today has more than 18,000 members and 550 corporate members.
The IREM hosts events, leadership gatherings, and conferences for members to develop skills, build their network, and share information. The 2016 Leadership and Legislative Summit will take place from April 9 through 13 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC. The 2015 event brought together more than 400 real estate management professionals to discuss the future of the industry. Attendees met with members of Congress and sought to elevate their business with politicians and industry experts, in addition to hearing from keynote speakers Michael McKee, chief executive officer of Bentall Kennedy US, and Joe Stettinius, DTZ chief executive.
