About Jessanna Buschur
Jessanna V. Buschur holds a bachelor of science in journalism from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism in Athens, Ohio. During her pursuit of a journalism career, Jessanna V. Buschur has developed a diverse set of skills in the creation and production of news content for broadcast and digital media. Her experience includes transcribing live broadcasts, delivering news content via social media outlets, video editing with Final Cut Pro, and desktop publishing using Adobe InDesign.
Prior to enrolling at Ohio University, Jessanna Buschur gained experience writing feature articles as a reporter in Bluffton, Ohio, for the Bluffton Icon online newspaper and serving as a disc jockey and producer of weekly radio segments at the Bluffton University Radio Station, 96.1 FM WBWH. Her experience shooting, reporting, and editing for television includes scheduling guests, conducting research, and writing pieces for The Journal, a show broadcast on Bowling Green, Ohio, public television station WBGU-TV. While a reporter for Leipzig, Germany-based radio station Mephisto 97.6, Jessanna Buschur contributed to the station’s blog and produced broadcast news stories on local topics such as the Leipzig hip-hop scene.
Most recently, Jessanna Buschur worked as an office assistant at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. Her current interests in journalism focus on stories that involve gender issues and racial equality.
