The Year 10 girls team have won the East Staffordshire district rounders league. They amassed 24 points from their 9 games. Congratulations go to Natasha McGregor, Hannah Kiddle, Sofie Hughes, Vicky Maidstone, Imogen Greensill, Charlie Bagnall, Eleanor Geofferson, Molly Jordan, Beth Handforth, Sophie Rock, Megan Jones & Chloe Stirley.
A Thomas Alleyne's tournament will be held next Thursday, after school, as a final fixture, please submit a team to Miss Jones or Miss Quinn by Tuesday if you would like to enter.
House Technology Competition
The House Technology competition has been taking place for over 28 years and this was another excellent day. The results are below and well done to Elkes who managed to win in both year 9 & 10.

6th Form School Transport
Please can Year 11 students who currently use school transport and are planning to join our 6th Form in September apply for school transport via Staffordshire County Council's website.
Their current provision expires on 18th July and transport will only be considered upon receipt of the relevant application and contribution payment. Current Year 12s should also apply to continue their transport provision. Early application before 18th July is advised to ensure the best chance of transport being in place at the start of the Autumn Term. www.staffordshire.gov.uk
Year 10 Taster Days
Year 10's have been out on a variety of taster days at our local Colleges and Universities this week. From Forensic Science to Construction, Law to Food Technology and many others in-between students have been given the opportunity to experience a wide variety of different careers, raising aspirations and inspiring them to strive to achieve the very best in this coming year.
We have visited Reaseheath looking at Agriculture, Motor Vehicle, Public Services, Food Tech, Equine, Animal Management, Fisheries and Construction.
Visits to Derby University looked at Forensic Science, Law and Boys into Sports. A trip to Buxton Catering College specialised in Food Technology and a Science and Engineering Fair at Derby College incorporated the latest innovations in this imaginative world!
With other visits planned to Burton and South Derbyshire College, Broomfield and Rodbaston most of our year 10's will have the opportunity to look at the choices available in both academic and vocational qualifications.
iPad Lease Scheme
The iPad lease scheme is up and running again giving you the opportunity to get an iPad for use in school on affordable monthly payments. This is open to year 9, 10 and those of you in year 11 that are coming back into year 12.
All orders by midnight on Wednesday 16th July to enable devices to be ordered for September arrival.
Summer Concert & Music News
The Summer Concert is on Wednesday 16th July, 7pm until 8.30.
Tickets cost £2, available from the admin office, and refreshments are available.
