What ways did women help the war effort during WW1?

Women in WW1 had to take over the men's jobs when they left to fight in the war.

When World War One started, a lot of men left their jobs to fight in the war. That left a lack of employees to work in factories, mining, and construction, plus lots of other jobs. Women wanted wages like men, so they flocked the wide open job opportunities. Soon there were even more employees than before, so that let them break down their producing steps into smaller and simpler steps. There was even a Woman's Royal Air Force were women worked as mechanics on planes. This is how women helped the war effort.
