About Joanne Biafore
Radiologist Dr. Joanne Biafore has
dedicated her professional career to advancing women’s health. Over the
past 12 years, she has spearheaded the development of multiple women’s
imaging centers in the Atlanta area. While serving as a radiologist at
Emory Midtown / Crawford Long Hospital, Dr. Biafore supervised the
completion of a women’s imaging center that included a large screening
and diagnostic mammography program. Shortly after this, she duplicated
her efforts at the Atlanta-area Johns Creek Hospital. In this role, Dr.
Joanne Biafore not only developed a women’s imaging center but also
helped implement a women’s breast health website.
An active figure in the field, Dr. Jo-anne Biafore has contributed numerous publications and presentations to the profession over her career. In addition to writing articles for peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Dr. Biafore has presented her research to groups such as the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Currently, Dr. Jo-anne Biafore functions as a radiologist at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a medical degree from the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
