Joel Tracy began his marketing career at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. He returned to the University of Wisconsin for his graduate studies, which he pursued in the Madison campus' celebrated Marketing Research program. After receiving his M.S., Joel Tracy joined The Upjohn Company as Business Intelligence Manager.

Since that time, Joel Tracy has led marketing direction for such prominent companies as S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Shortly before founding his independent company, Mr. Tracy conducted pre-market research for Searle, which was since acquired by Pfizer, applying industry-leading research techniques to prepare for the release of the pharmaceutical product Celebrex. Since founding Informed Business Decisions, Joel Tracy has continued to leverage his business acumen toward the success of his clients. His work includes collaborating with company leaders to develop accelerated market research training programs.
