About Joe Massoud
An accomplished entrepreneur in the financial industry, Joseph Massoud has realized numerous successes throughout his nearly quarter-century career. He started out as a business analyst for McKinsey & Company, a Los Angeles-based management consulting firm. After earning his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1993, Joe Massoud went on to serve as an associate at Colony Capital, a private equity firm where he focused on valuing distressed real estate assets, among his other duties.
Upon relocating to the Westport, Connecticut, area in 1995, Joe Massoud joined Petroleum Heat & Power, the largest retail distributor of home heating oil in the United States. Three years later, he founded Compass Group Management LLC, which grew to become a $600 million management company and private equity firm over the course of his 14 years as managing director. Recognized for his success at Compass, Joe Massoud has appeared on CNBC, FOX Business News, and Bloomberg News and was named a “40 Under 40” executive by Corporate Leader magazine. Joseph Massoud is currently the Managing Director for Westport-based Anholt Services (USA) Inc.
