In 1994, Joe Tacopina founded the Law Offices of Joseph Tacopina, P.C. In the twenty years since establishing his firm, Joe Tacopina has tried more than 80 cases, and garnered a reputation as one of New York's most accomplished attorneys.

Mr. Tacopina partnered with Chad Seigel and Stephen Turano in 2007 and 2008, respectively. Since, the Law Offices of Tacopina Seigel & Turano, P.C., have been involved in numerous criminal and civil cases. Mr. Tacopina and the firm recently contributed to a judgment in the amount of $7.4 million against Excelsior Apartments in the case of an underage drunk driver who, after leaving a party at the complex, inflicted severe injuries upon a prestigious cardiologist.

As a former member of the Judicial Committee for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York Counsel of Defense Lawyers, and the Federal Bar Council, Mr. Tacopina continues to stay involved among the professional organizations of his industry as an adjunct faculty member at Cardozo Law School's Intense Trial Advocacy Program (ITAP) and lectures to audiences nationwide on a variety of legal issues, including speaking before the Saratoga County Bar Association and at their Law Day Ceremony. He is a judge for Yale Law School’s Mock Trial Association and is AV rated by his peers in Martindale Hubble.
