About John Goldschmid
Well established as a pianist, band leader, composer, and arranger, John Goldschmid has performed on numerous CD recordings, commercials, and television and film soundtracks. He has played with diverse bands at famed New York music venues including Tramps, The Bottom Line, CBGB's, The Bitter End, and The Ritz. Musicians he has worked with in the studio include the Young Rascals’ keyboardist Felix Cavaliere, bassist Anthony Jackson, and Average White Band saxophonist Roger Ball. John Goldschmid also has recorded with members of preeminent ensembles such as the Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic.
Goldschmid’s current playing schedule typically involves events at Connecticut yacht and country clubs, senior living communities, and restaurants. He is now working with a number of musicians, including brother Chuck Goldschmid, on the upcoming release "Anytime is Fine.” Past production credits include work with Charlie Karp and the Namedroppers on the "Giving it All I Got" album. John Goldschmid co-produced and played keyboards on the late 1980s recording, which included the song "Breaking Each Other's Hearts," featured in the John Candy movie Speed Zone.
