About John Guidugli
Community advocate John Guidugli serves as president and CEO of the Hamilton Community Foundation (HCF), which leads fundraising for and development of local projects that improve the quality of life among the citizens of the greater Hamilton, Ohio, area. John Guidugli joined HCF, the largest community foundation in Ohio’s Butler County, in 1999. Today, he and his team oversee more than $80 million in foundation assets.
At HCF, John Guidugli’s administration duties range from organizing fundraisers and leading donor relations to overseeing strategic grant making and managing charitable investment diversification. Mr. Guidugli works directly with the board of trustees to identify and implement strategic plans and to grant upwards of $4.5 million each year. Additionally, he and his team coordinate stewardship with more than 500 regional funds founded and run by family offices, corporations, individual philanthropists, and private institutions and foundations.
Before working in the nonprofit community development sector, John Guidugli graduated cum laude from Northern Kentucky University (NKU) with a bachelor of arts in history in 1982. In the late 1980s, he returned to school, completing a juris doctor at the NKU Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He served as a county prosecutor and Social Security Administration counselor before joining HCF.
