The Armed Forces Retirement Home
About John Infantino
Throughout his career, John Infantino has held positions with firms responsible for real estate development and multi-national transactions. As the current chief executive officer of Federal Group International, Infantino has negotiated, structured and completed deals between numerous public and private entities including 30 different governments. Companies with which he has worked with include Berkshire Hathaway, Battelle Memorial Institute, and the Rockefeller Group. Additionally, John Infantino won awards from various home builders’ associations for planning, marketing and developing real estate property and making law-changing recommendations to the government.
One of Infantino's most notable achievements involved the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Located two miles from the US Capitol, this facility was built more than 150 years ago as a location where veterans could receive proper healthcare, but its funding shrank significantly during the 1980s and 1990s. From 1998 until 2001, John Infantino oversaw a team that created a Congressionally approved business plan to redevelop the 272-acre complex. He selected top architects, engineers, and designers to assist with planning and determining ways to utilize the historic buildings populating its campus. Moreover, through 2005, he worked with the istricyt of Columbia Public School System, Catholic University, Washington Health System/Medstar, the US State Department and the Special Olympics in evaluating joint development opportunities on the campus. Today, the Armed Forces Retirement Home continues to provide for our nation's veterans who served their country.
