About John Lenczowski
For more than 23 years, John Lenczowski has served as the president and founder of The Institute of World Politics, a private graduate school located in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC. In addition to his responsibilities as founder and president, John Lenczowski serves as a professor at The Institute, teaching courses such as international relations and Russian politics and foreign policy.
Dr. Lenczowski began his career as an educator at The University of Maryland, functioning as a lecturer in government and politics. Additionally, he served as a legislative policy advisor in the U.S. House of Representatives for the Honorable James A. Courter. Throughout the years, he authored and co-authored a number of books, including The Sources of Soviet Perestroika and Soviet Perceptions of U.S. Foreign Policy.
John Lenczowski holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and history from the University of California, Berkeley. He also earned his Master’s degree and PhD in international relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
