John Manno, a hard-working senior executive and entrepreneur in Shreveport, Louisiana, serves as vice president of Southland Printing Co., Inc. Not only does he serve as board president of the Strand Theatre, but he is also the past chairman of the board of directors for the Shreveport chapter of the American Red Cross. The executive supports his alma mater by functioning as a Foundation Board Member and Capital Campaign Chairman. In this role, he facilitates substantial funding drives. Recently, Manno and his wife were named Philanthropists of the Year for their work on the largest capital campaign in the history of the university. The campaign raised $36.2 million dollars.
Other sponsorship efforts the executive has managed have included fundraising activities for the Krewe of Gemini, which is the first modern-day Krewe to parade in Shreveport. For these efforts, Manno received the Dave Michels Spirit of Mardi Gras Award. He also was named Citizen of the Year by the March of Dimes.
In his spare time, Manno enjoys traveling in his recreational vehicle and participating in sports activities.
