Climate Classification:  BW(h)

Aedan Garcia    5/9/14    1st Period

BW Climates are dry and arid, so we casually classify them as deserts.  The requirements for a BW classification are as follows:  evaporation normally exceeds precipitation, but is less than half of the potential evaporation.  The average temperature of a BWh is more than 64 degrees, and frost is absent or infrequent, while less than 64 and occasional frost and freezing temperatures are normal for a BWk

Areas that can be classified as BWh include Northern Mexico, Southwest US (Texas, Arizona, etc.), Iran, Western Australia, etc.
