About Judge Harry Field
Judge Harry Field serves as a magistrate
with Lake County, Ohio’s Willoughby Municipal Court, which he joined as
an acting judge in 1983. Elected to a full-time, six-year term in 2012,
Judge Harry Field worked as the Court’s chief magistrate and acting
judge for eight years prior. Today, he focuses on fairly and honestly
adjudicating a variety of civil and criminal hearings.
Prior to his judicial career, Judge Field worked as a lawyer in Lake County. Earning his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, he passed the Ohio State Bar and established a private practice shortly afterwards. During his career as a lawyer, Judge Field largely handled domestic relations cases, commercial and real estate law matters, and estate planning and probate administration. He has actively participated in the Lake County Bar Association for more than three decades.
Currently a resident of Willoughby in Lake County, Judge Harry Field grew up in the area, started his career, and raised a family. He graduated from Willoughby South High School and earned a degree in economics from Ohio State University.
