McKenzie Jacobs

The summer is my favorite time of year.

The cool winds blow my hair. The flowers spring

all through the day and night. Then all the dear

come out to play. The many flowers bring

the buzzing bees. The heat reaches my face.

The big count down, three, two, one, we all cheer.

We're playing baseball; running to home base

is when you know summer is here.

There are no fluffy clouds in the blue sky.

The vibrant ice creams, oh how i want more.

The birds open their wings, jump and fly high.

The waves roar up against the open shore.

The salty air goes al through my long hair.

The last days, oh i think it is not fair.
