The Fault In Our Stars

So, today i'm going to talk about the Fault In Our Stars for today's blog. So have fun reading.

OK, so this is Hazel Grace. One of the main characters of this wonderful story. Her and Gus was lovers like no other. Hazel's two main objectives in the story was to meet Peter Van Houten to know what happened at the end of the Peter Van Houten's book,"An Imperial Affliction". But, when she was able to see him in real life, she was appalled and disgusted when he was greatly disrespectful to her and also, Gus. But, Hazel is a forever strong and loving person.  But, I wouldn't make her mad if I was you.

Next, person we will take about is Augustus “Gus” Waters. Augustus Waters was a big believer in metaphor and constantly symbolized the situations at hand. One example is his tendency to put an unlit cigarette in his mouth, something of a trademark of his: "It's a metaphor, see: you put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing". Just like me sorta. But, I guess I could relate myself to him.

Next is Isaac. Isaac is one of the supporting characters of The Fault in Our Stars. He had an eye cancer known as retinoblastoma, he also had one glass eye and one real eye, then the other real eye was removed and he is NEC. In The Fault in Our Stars, Isaac is described as being a long-faced, cool, skinny guy with long blonde hair swept over one eye, and having rather large, thick glasses. In the movie, the two features listed that he doesn't have is his long blonde hair and hair that swept over his glass eye. He lost one eye to his cancer when he was younger, so he had a glass eye in place of the missing one until his remaining eye was surgically removed, leaving him NEC but blind. But, some of us are blind to love or just sight.

Peter Van Houten is a crucial character in The Fault In Our Stars. He is the author of Hazel's favorite book, An Imperial Affliction, and the father of Anna Van Houten, the inspiration for his book. He is an alcoholic, and when Hazel and Augustus met him in person, he was abrasive and drunk. He insults them and refuses to answer most of Hazel's questions, effectively crushing her dreams of learning what happens at the end of An Imperial Affliction. He never reads his fan mail, and has tons of it piled up in his household. So, I mean i can be sometimes but I don't think this is me at all.

Next is Patrick.  Patrick is a background character in The Fault in Our Stars, who isn't spoken about very often. He is the head of the Support Group and a prostate cancer survivor. Every time he speaks at Support Group, he tells everyone about the fact that he lost his testicles. He can seem funny sometimes without actually trying to be, for instance when he refers the meeting place for the Support Group as the Literal Heart of Jesus, which Hazel and Augustus makes fun of. He is divorced and working on his Master's Degree and lives in his parent's house. This a little more like me.

And now, me. So, all these people are related to me because they know the real meaning of life especially Hazel. The reason I saw all this is because, life isn't sweet at all and they went through it. I mean, yeah it was hard. But, they got back up when life knocked them down, and dusted their self  off. These characters are very good roll models. Some day, I want to be just like Hazel, Gus, Issac, and maybe Patrick, if my testicles are still there. But not Peter so much. He's a douche. Till next time, Bye.
