Rosa Parks

"The only tired I was, was tired of giving in." -Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks was a famous civil rights activist. She knew for refusing to give her  bus seat to a white man. After being getting out of jail she was again arrested for her work in the buss boycott. She led many movements  and was known as the "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement." She was part of the N.A.A.C.P. She was given the Noble Peace Prize in 1964.

      Rosa Parks was loved and respected. She had a street and a branch of the Montgomery Library named after her. She also had a song written for her called "Sister Rosa." She was brave. She led many movements and even when she knew it might have gotten her arrested.
