biotic: different kinds of plants like kelp, seaweed, and plant roots, there is also five armed starfish, there are also many different kinds of fish.

abiotic: the salt water in the ocean, the sand, and also the sunlight that hits the ocean floor.

In the ocean every living thing needs food, shelter, and water.

If every ocean animal uses all of the resources they would all die. Every sea creature fights for what it needs.

Limiting factors

limiting factors are environmental factors that tend to limit the size of the population.






predator and prey relationship in the ocean is a shark and a fish. limiting factors can affect these animals because if all the fish died because the didn't have food then the sharks would die out because there is no more fish in the sea. Another example is if there is no more shelter in the ocean for the fish and shark would both die out.

Energy roles

Energy roles: The role each kind of organism gets in there ecosystem.

Producer: coral, seaweed, other plants

Consumers: Shark, fish, squid, octopus, and other organisms.

Herbivore: krill, some fish, and other herbivores.

Omnivore: shark, fish and other organisms.

producers get there energy from the sun

primary consumers get there energy from the producers

secondary consumers get there energy from the secondary consumers

tertiary consumers get there energy from the secondary consumers

the radiant energy, that gets transferred from the sun to the producers gets transferred into chemical, and then it gets transferred to mechanical to chemical when the consumers chew it and it goes to it's stomach which has stomach acid.

A food web is more realistic than a food chain because producers do not just get eaten by just one consumer, its eaten by a lot of consumers, same with animals and people, but in a food chain only one organism gets eaten by another, and only one organism eats the producer.

If we removed the grass than what would the mouse, deer, and bird would eat.

Trophic levels and energy pyramids

Using a pyramid shape shows how much energy is being transferred as you move up the pyramid. since the space gets smaller, so does that amount of energy decrease. It also shows what kind of consumer eats what kind of other consumer or producer.  

producers are in the largest level because they don't get eaten and don't eat anything else. They provide energy for consumers. The top predators are in the smallest level because they are the ones that eat everything, and they get less energy.

photosynthesis takes place: photosynthesis takes place in a plant cell called chloroplast which contains chlorophyll. The chlorophyll absorbs the sunlight energy given from the sun to be able to photosynthesise .
