Met Gala
New York City
May 4, 2015

Black tie. Champagne. Red carpet. The New York City Met Gala was full of extravagant dresses and tailored suits this past Monday. Some dresses were plain, others were impossible to miss. The Met Gala interested me because I love seeing everyone's gowns.

On May 4, 2015, hundreds of people powdered their faces and curled their hair for the Met Gala at Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Expensive dresses and beautiful people walked the red carpet and posed for paparazzi. I wasn't fortunate enough to attend this event in a gorgeous, $500,000 dress, however, I did get to see everyone else's attire.

My personal favorite gown of the night was Kendall Jenner's emerald, Calvin Klein dress. It was sparkly and swept the floor. Truly stunning. I also loved Kim Kardashian's white Roberto Cavalli gown.

I wasn’t fond of every dress on the red carpet however. For example, Beyonce’s sheer Givenchy dress. It was too revealing and inappropriate. Rihanna’s yellow Guo Pei gown was hard to miss. It was big, bold, and fluffy. I thought it was over the top and didn’t fit the event. As for the most eye-catching, Sarah Jessica Parker wore a giant, red Philip Treacy headpiece. It was incredible.
