To get to Little Rock, Arkansas from Atlanta, Georgia it will take you 8 hours and 20 minutes. Without traffic, it will take you 7 hours and 35 minutes. I know it sounds long, but once you get there it's worth the drive! It is 521 miles from Atlanta, Georgia.
The weather in Arkansas is very pretty. The average high temperature in April is 73 degrees Fahrenheit. If you like a cool breeze with some sun peeking out, in my opinion, the weather here is perfect for you. The average low temperature in April is 51 degrees Fahrenheit. During the day, I would suggest you wear shorts and a t-shirt. In the night time if you are going out for dinner, you should probably wear jeans and bring a light sweater.
Little Rock Central High School
Little Rock Central High School's role in desegregation in the US got national attention. In 1957, 9 African American students started going to this school that had 2,000 white students. This school is very beautiful and very cool to look around in. The school is huge and has a lot of history inside of its breathtaking walls.
Hot Springs National Park
People come to Hot Springs National Park to relax. It's nicknamed The American Spa because when you are there you feel like you are at a natural and beautiful spa. People love the warmth of the water and the beauty of the surrounding mountains. This is the oldest park in The National Park System. This park is like a huge, warm hot tub. You can swim around and enjoy yourself while you are there.
Crater Of Diamonds State Park
The Crater Of Diamond State Park is the only diamond producing site in the world that anyone can visit. It has more than 37 acres where you can hunt for diamonds. You can also find more than 40 kinds of minerals. Anything a visitor finds, they can keep. People love to enjoy the diamonds at home and keep them to display. It is a very natural environment filled with beautiful flowers and trees.
Chocolate Gravy and Biscuits
Chocolate Gravy is often eaten with biscuits in Arkansas. These treats are also very common in Arkansas. The base of this dish was first made with chocolate pudding, but today the dish is served with chocolate sauce instead. People thought that putting a fresh baked biscuit dipped in chocolate just made sense.
