In session 1 we had to complete a personal immune system health assessment. While your partner was doing the assessment you had to use an app to explore terminology related to the immune system.Then we had to identify the types of blood cells that are part of the immune system.
In session 2 of Immunology we explored and modeled community immunity. We also distinguished antibodies from antigens. Lastly we explained how the body's immune system defense works.
In session 3 we had to explain how the microscope helped advance the field of medicine. learned how to use and care for a microscope. We also learned how to take a micrograph using a microscope.
In this session we identified bacteria based on shape, grouping, and staining, classify bacteria from micrographs, and take migrographs of different types of bacteria using the microscope.
In session 5 we labeled the different structures in a micrograph of the influenza virus. We also compared the size of human cells with bacterial cells, and viruses. Lastly, we researched the prevention and treatment of a viral disease.
In session 6 we explored how protists and fungi can become pathogenic. Also, we identified methods of treatment and prevention of protists and fungal diseases. Lastly, we identified them in a micrograph.
In session 7 we identified the benefits and the risks of exposure to sunlight. We also compared autoimmune disorders to auto immunodeficiency disorders. Lastly, we developed a personal immune health plan to boost my immune system.
