A: Earth has seasons because its axis is tilted as it revolves around the sun.

Q: What determines the strength of the force of between two objects?\

A: The strength of the force of gravity between objects depend on two factors: the masses of the object and the distance between them.

Q: What two factors combine to keep the moon and earth in orbit?

A: Inertia and gravity combine keep Earth in orbit around the sun and the moon in orbit with the Earth. Inertia is the tendency of an object to resist a change in motion.

A: When the moon's shadow hits the Earth or the Earth's shadow hits

A: Tides are cause mainly by different in how much the moon's gravity pulls on different part of Earth.

A: Features on the moon's surface include maria, craters, and highlands.

Q: What causes the phases of the moon?

A: The phases of the moon you see depends on how much of sunlit side of the moon faces Earth

Q: How did the moon form?

A: Scientist theorize that a planet-sizes object collided with Earth to form the moon.
