The Middle Colonies

"We used to be owned by the Dutch, so we're cooler."

The Middle Colonies consist of four separate colonies; New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Our four territories are indicated on the above map in the red. (We don't know what those things to the West are but let's pretend they're not there. Probably Natives.)

The weather here in the Middle Colonies is generally moderate, not too hot to work, nor too cold! Not like the New England colonies, which are too cold, or the Southern colonies, which are too hot. We're the middlemen. (Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.) If you like the winters up North, but want to experience the summers from down South every so often, then this is the place for you! (Vice versa as well!) We also have really great soil if you're looking to farm!

Here in the Middle colonies, we have good soil if you want to plant crops! We're the second best when it comes to farming! That's something to write home about if you ask me. We grow mostly grains here in the Middle colonies-corn and wheat to be specific. So if you're a bread baker or just really like corn, this is the place to be! Us Breadbasket colonies are known for our bread.

In the Middle colonies, we have a wide, open industry with many options for work! If you like the sea, you could consider shipping as a job! If you like animals, maybe cattle farming is a good career choice! Like the sun? Consider farming! And if you just can't get enough of hitting hot metal with a hammer, then you could be a blacksmith! The options are endless!
