You wish your empire was this great
Egypt's geography

Ryan Fist

Egypt is not just mummies and pyramids and Indiana Jones movie settings. Not many people know it, but Egypt has been around this long because of it's geography, not because of George Lucas. Every spring the Nile would flood leaving something called silt up on the land. The silt was very good for planting crops so the land was very green and had lots of plants and food. This gave them lots of food so they didn't starve. The land behind the plants was dry desert. The desert was huge and protective. Invaders would arive tired and would not be able to fight. These things helped Egypt survive long enough to make an Indiana Jones 5.
