Angles and Quadrilaterals

Acute Angle - An Acute Angle is less than 90 Degrees. They are the smallest angle between 1-90 degrees.

Obtuse Angel - It is about the opposite of acute angle. It is bigger than a right angle and acute angle. Its more than 90 and less than 180 degrees.

Straight Angle - A straight angle is a straight line. It's 180 degrees, and is half of a full 360 degree circle.

Right Angle - You rarely see the 90 degrees on the picture. If it has a square in the corner it's 90 degrees. It's what most of the angles are based on.

Quadrilateral means four sides. Any shape that has four sides is a quadrilateral.

A square is a four-sided shape that has all same sides. Each angle has 90 degrees. A square is always a rectangle but a rectangle is not always a square.

A rectangle has four sides. A rectangle is a quadrilateral. It is a type of parallelogram.

A Rhombus is a four sided shape. It is often called a diamond. It's also a parallelogram.

A trapezoid is a 4-sided shape. A trapezoid also has 4 straight sides. A trapezoid is called a trapezium in the UK.

A parallelogram has four straight sides. The opposite sides are parallel.
