About the Siberian Husky

The Siberian Husky is a medium to large dog with a thick under coat and soft outer coat. The Siberian Husky originated in North Eastern Siberia, Russia.

The Siberian Husky has many different names like Chuckcha, Chucksha, Husky, Icee, and Sibe. Their fur color could be all colors from black to white along with a brownish red coat.

Size and Age

A Siberian Husky can live for 12-15 years and a male can get 53-60 cm tall, and 20-27 kg. A female can get 51-56 cm tall, and 16-23 kg big. A litter can have 9-11 puppies.

Owning a Husky

Siberian Huskies are sled dogs and prefer cold and lots of exercise. A downside is that a lot of Siberian Huskies have hip and eye problems and needs to be brushed weekly. You also need some strong willed patience if you own a Husky. Though they have some downsides, Huskies bond with families and are great pets to own.
