Teacher's Assistant in New Jersey
An experienced behavioral health and education specialist, Kelly Ann Riordan currently serves as a teacher’s assistant at The Forum School in Waldwick, New Jersey. In this capacity, she works with nine children between the ages of 8 and 12 who have special educational needs, coordinating lessons with the teacher and helping students with academics. Kelly Ann Riordan divides her time between her responsibilities at school and a position at NewBridge Services, a group home where she facilitates the safety of all patients. In her role as residential counselor, she has gained administrative skills while providing general daily care to residents.
Since 2012, Ms. Riordan has also operated as a per diem home health aide at Broadway Respite and Home Care. Among her responsibilities, she ensures the well-being of adult and youth patients with developmental disorders such as Down’s and Asperger’s syndromes.
Ms. Riordan holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. Currently, she is pursuing a master of social work at Rutgers University.
