Athena, known in Roman Mythology as Minerva, was an extremely powerful figure in Greek mythology. Her strengths and responsibilities include courage, inspiration, civilization, law, justice, strategic warfare, mathematics, physical strength, strategy, arts, crafts, and such skills.

Family Relationships

Athena's parents were Metis and Zeus.  Her siblings were Artemis, Aphrodite, the muses, the graces, Ares, Apollo, Dionysus, Hebe, Hermes, Hercules, Helen of Troy, Hephaephus, Minos, Perseus, and Porus.  

Symbols

Athena's symbols include the city of Polis, the metalwork , and the owl.

Fun Facts About Athena

Her symbol, the owl, signifies water and wisdom.  Athena's state has a swan sheild called aegis that shows the shield head of Medusa.
