the life of Rachel Carson

Rachel Carson was born 1907 in a small town outside of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania called Springdale. She was the youngest of three kids. The college that she went to was a college of women and thern she got her masters in zoology.Later in the year she wrote five books and her best selling book was Silent Spring. In 1936 she became only the second woman to be hired by the Bureau of Fisheries for a full-time, professional position, as a junior aquatic biologist. Rachel Carson won a Noble Peace Prize. Rachel Carson died on April,14,1964 form cancer. The book that is still read by many environmental group it called Silent Spring.
