Part 1

the stamp act-all printed stuff had to be stamped. People wanted to rebel against this act.

Boston tea party-people rebeled against the tea act so there was the Boston tea party. The british did not like this at all.

sons of liberty- they protested the stamp act. People had got togehter and disgused stuff.

Boston massacre- three colonist were killed. The was horrible people got really mad.

coercive act- parlament to punish Boston rebels. People were very punished if they did something like this ever again.

loyalist- remained supported to king George. Witch was not good for the patriots.

patriots- believed british rules were unbearable. this was not good for the british.

first continental congress- decided colonist should arm themselves. just in case they got into a war.

paul revere- road through the country side to warn colonist the british are coming. he wanted to go and help people.

declaration of independance- was presented to congress in 1776. This was a big deal for everyone.


Part 3

1765- the stamp act, everything printed had to be stamped. People wanted to protest against this act.

1770- Boston massacre, 5 colonist were killed. People were outraged for this because they killed 5 normal people.

1773- Boston tea party, americans boycotted by throwing tea off a ship. King George was angry about this.

1774- coercive acts, passed to punish british rebels. So that they would never do something like this ever again.

1775- Paul revere, he went riding through the town warning people the british are coming. He was a good person and he was wanting to warn people.

1776- british regulars clashed with patriots on long island NY. They were mainly looking for war and to go and fight.

1776- the continental army was dwindling and many minutemen were serving in the fight. Minutemen were always ready to go and fight in the war.

1777- the british hoped to capture Albany and control the hudson river. They wanted to take control of this land for battle.

1778- valley forge, many soliders died from loss of food and disease. The conditions were horrible up there in the mountains.

1789- the french interacted in there own revolution. They were also looking for war as well.

George Washington

Part 4

George Washington was a war hero and people loved him. He was also elected as president of the united states. George Washington was one of our four founding fathers and he was also a very nice person in life. The congress also chose George Washington to be there commander and there leader to. He had also gone and fought at valley forge but the conditions were horrible and many people died during it. After the war he had come back a hero. Many people had loved George Washington for all the stuff that they had done and he was the best leader they had ever see and had. He was a patriot and he did not believe in what the british believed in so he started a war with them because of it and then the war had broken out.


Part 5

Valley Forge

Valley forge was a big deal to everyone because it was a big battle and fight and a lot of people did not like the war. The conditions were horrible it was cold wet there was snow and there was a big lack of food. People were dying by the day and there was nothing they could do about it they had to keep on going and also it was very miserable. the war had finally gone and ended and we have won. When they came back George Washington was a leader and everyone respected him and then later after the war He was elected president for being such a good leader in war. Valley Forge was one of the roughest wars that have ever been alive.


Part 6

George Washington was born February 22, 1732 and he had lived a good life and it was a huge deal when he died because he was the first president of the united states and he was a war hero. Everyone loved him and was a commander in he army and had won valley forge and that was amazing. He died 1799 on December 14 and it was very sad to and they had a big funeral for him because of how important he was to everyone in the world.He was amazing and he always had given good speaches to everyone and they liked that to.


Part 7

Put in a large saucepan:

3 cups (700ml) potatoes, diced
3/4 cup (175 ml) celery, chopped
1/2 cup (125 ml) onion, chopped
Heat, but do not boil:

5 cups (1200 ml) milk

Add to the cooked vegetables, along with:
5 tbsp (75 ml) butter
1 tsp (5 ml) salt
pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C), and grease and flour two loaf pans.

Mix together:

1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar
2 cups (250 ml) flour
2 tsp (10 ml) baking soda
2 tsp (10 ml) salt
1 tsp (5 ml) baking powder
1 3/4 cup (415 ml) graham (or whole wheat) flour

Cut in with a pastry blender (or blend in food processor) until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal:
1/3 cup (80 ml) butte

Blend in a separate bowl:

2 eggs, beaten
1 3/4 cup (415 ml) sour milk or buttermilk
3/4 cup (175 ml) molasses

Pour into dry mixture and stir only enough to blend. Pour into prepared loaf pans and bake at 350° F (175° C) for about 40 minutes.

Part 9

Valley Forge was a dark and horrible night and during the day to because of the conditions there was there it was so so cold. It was a brutal fight the worst part is that a ton of them had froze to death before they even went and had gone to fight it was the worst war they have ever been in with conditions related. They ended up winning but the journey to the war was a nightmare mainly because of the cold weather they lost more soliders then than they did in the actual war.
