Peer pressure in 8th grade

The greatest challenge that 8th graders face is peer pressure. At parties, social events, even school teens are dared or pressured to do something they aren't comfortable with. A friend's opinion matters a lot to an 8th grader.

"Because of the influences of peer pressure, parenting and, of course, the relentless media, today's children face problems at a young age that can potentially lead to serious complications in the long term.
Everyone's doing it, right? Wrong."

"The pressure to conform (to do what others are doing) can be powerful and hard to resist."

"During adolescence, peers play a large part in a young person's life and typically replace family as the center of a teen's social and leisure activities."

Being an 8th grader I know the challenges people at this age face. I believe and have proven that the biggest problem is peer pressure. Teens are constantly around friend's and their opinions matter to them. This makes peer pressure a big deal and something they constantly have to deal with.
