Miss Lee's Thanksgiving Feast

Most Important News...

(If nothing else, read this part.)

Next Tuesday, December 9th at 7pm, is Family Hour of Code. What is Hour of code?

We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science, and less students are studying it than a decade ago.

That’s why we are joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 8-14). Last year, 15 million students tried computer science in one week. This year, we're joining students worldwide to reach 100 million students!

This is a free, hands-on event for the entire family! Fun including activities with Frozen's Elsa and Angry Birds. The chance to design your own video game. Even program a human! Everyone will leave having written lines of code. FLYER

We could still use a few individuals to help guide families. If interested, please email Gwen at No experience is necessary.

Caring Tags are hanging in the lobby! Thank you in advance for your donation to help families in need. Please be sure to drop off your new, unwrapped gift in the lobby by December 15th.

Did you miss the book fair, forget to get something, or were we sold out of the book you wanted? You can order online and receive free shipping until December 4th, and Knapp will earn credit for the orders. Just click here:

Who watched Nickelodeon's HALO Awards? It honored 5 inspirational kids who are making the world better. These kids are: providing shoes for disadvantaged children, turning restaurant grease into fuel to heat homes for families in need, hosting nail art parties for kids in hospitals, providing eye exams and glasses for students, and hosting parties combined with charity work to raise money for an important cause.
