Edgar Allan Poe
Edward Allen Poe's father left his family and and then his mother died and he had to live with John Allan. John Allan Didn't support the ideas and things Poe wanted to do like Join the army. Although Poe had enrolled in the army earlier than he was supposed too. He had a very sad life because alcoholism and many deaths of loved ones. He wrote many poems about these problems, people usually called his stories gloomy. Like the poem The Cask of Amontillado. Edgar did write a happy poem when he was younger but his friends made fun of him and got rid of it. After his Wife died he collapsed and a nurse helped him back to health. He died at the age of 40 Poe was one of the best poets in The English Language.
