Ray Charles Robinson (september 23, 1930-june 10, 2004) was an america singer- songwriter,musician and composer known as ray Charles he was a pioneer in the genre of soul music during the 1950s by fusing rhythm and blues, gospel, and blues styles into his early recording with atlantic records. he also help racially integrate country and pop music during the 1960s with his crossover success on abc records, most notably with his modern sounds albums while with abc, Charles became one first african-america musical to be given control by a mainstream record company frank sinatra called Charels the only true genius in show business although Charles downplayed the notion ....ray Charles lived the american dream through music. he once said music is nothing serprate from me. it is me. being born poor, and going blind at the of 7 he lived through his music he recorded 14 albums in his musical career and received many award in inclued 12 grammy awards .
