How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas lights with a burned out light bulb?
Independent Variable- Electricity" battery"
Dependent Variable- The light bulbs
If the Christmas lights are arranged in a parallel circuit , then when 1 bulb burst the other bulbs do light.
I noticed that when the it was parallel it allowed more bulbs allowing more light and the battery wouldn't catch on fire.
I noticed even thought that even though it had less bulbs the battery caught on fire unlike the parallel circuit.
If the Christmas lights are arranged in a series circuit then when 1 bulb burst the other bulbs don't light up.
I noticed that it had the same amount of bulbs as the parallel circuits it was still dim like the series circuit
I noticed that there was 2 bulbs and it was as bright as the parallel.
My conclusion is a parallel circuit is the best series to use fo Christmas lights because if one goes out the others stay.
