THE FIRST 6 RULES:
1.When seperating phrases that don't need to be there.
Ex:My dog,Bella,is so cute.
2.When linking to independent clauses with a conjunction.
Ex:I didn't want to school,but my mom said i need to learn.
3.When you are addressing someone inparticular.
4.When making a list.
Ex:To make a cake you need:eggs,milk,water,flour,and icing.
5.When you have more than one adj. modifying a noun.
Ex:The pretty,nice lady said hi.
6.After introducing phrase or clauses.
Ex:When I am done with my homework, i'll watch TV.
7.When your writing a date
Ex: November 12,2014
8.At the end of a letter
Ex: Dear son,
Have fun at school
9.When marking a location
WHEN NOT TO USE A COMMA:
1. When seperating two independent clauses without a conjunction.
2.After the conjunction
3.When seperating a dependent and independent clause with a conjunction.
THATS WHEN YOU SHOULD USE A COMMA AND SHOULDN'T USE A COMMA.
