the Koryo (Goryeo) Dynasty
The Koryo Dynasty was formed when the Silla Kingdom weakened around 935. The Koryo dynasty lasted until 1392. The rulers adopted Chinese ideas but mainly wanted to mix Korean features. The Koreans artisans created pottery with a blue-green glaze called celadon. The Koreans also used printing methods that were adopted from the Chinese using about 80,000 tiles to print Buddhist texts. They later improved this by using a metal movable type.
