That" Anymore

"Hi. My name's Amanda and I have Bipolar!"

Celebrity: Amanda Bynes

Signs started to show: April 2012

Diagnoses: Bipolar

Symptoms of Bi-polar: Abnormal increase in irritable mood and abnormal increase of goal directed activity, poor judgment, and inappropriate social behavior, increased self-esteem or grandiosity, more talkative than usual or pressure to keep talking, flight of ideas or subjective experience that thoughts are racing, excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences.

Treatments for Bi-polar: Can not be cured but can be controlled through mood stabilizers

Evaluation: Starting in 2012 Amanda involved her self in numerous reckless driving incidents that ended in hit and runs and DUI's. Then, taking to Twitter, Ms. Bynes released a number of inappropriate and provocative content to her feed. Next, while at the gym, Amanda's trainer had to kick her out of a session due to her bizarre behavior which included jumping off of  work out equipment, walking in circles, lifting up her shirt and putting on makeup in the mirror. Taking to Twitter once more Amanda is noted calling her self and other female celebrities "ugly" and bashes anyone who attempts to lend her helpful advice.

Conclusion: From all that information collected about Amanda Bynes it is clear to see that she matches the symptoms listed in the DSM IV and DSM V for Bipolar disorder. She behaves recklessly, engages in inappropriate social behavior, has shown poor judgment through her drunk driving and other run ins with the law, and from her random and inappropriate tweets shows signs of racing thoughts and talkativeness.
