Glicoma is a tumor that grows from glial cells a supportive cell in the brain. Brain stem Glicoma grows specifically in the brain stem witch is part of the brain that controls many of the body's basic functions such as motor skills,sensory activity,


Lack of facial control,(droopy eyelids),Double vision,Headache or headache that gets better after vomiting,Nausea and vomiting,Weakness and fatigue,Seizures,Balance problems.

Possible Causes

Possible causes are Li-Fraument syndrome,neurofibromatosis type 1,nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome,tuberous sclerous, and 6 syndrome.

Stage 0)The cancer just formed on the brain stem.

Stage 1,2,3) The tumor on the brain stem has enlarged and spread to close by lymph nodes.

Stage 4)brain stem Glicoma has metastasized, or spread to other organs in the body.

radiation tharapy-use a type of light you cant see with your eyes to go through your skin and laser the will kill the cell and shrink the tumor.

Survival rates

With the use of radiation therapy These patients often do well.Long-term survival ranges from 65 to 90 percent for brain stem tumors that arrive from mid brain or medulla.The rest is no chance.
