Anthony Suau was born in the US in 1985. He's dedicated his photo-journalistic career to documenting the effects of international events of people worldwide.
In 1985, he won the Pulitzer prize for his moving photography of the famine in Ethiopia and a photograph of a woman at her dead husband's grave-site on Memorial Day that he published in The Boston Globe.
Suau was also awarded the second Infinity Award from the International Center of Photography from his project of ten years of a Soviet worker's transformation over time.
He was awarded the World Press Photo of the Year for the second time in 2009.
