The Circulatory System is responsible for transporting materials throughout the entire body. It transports nutrients, water, and oxygen to your billion body cells and carries away the wastes such as carbon dioxide that body cells produce.
Disease in the Circulatory System
A disease that can be caused in the Circulatory System is Atherosclerosis. This disease cause the body to get hard and fat from the body causes fatty lining blood vessels.
Five Facts about the Circulatory Systems
There are five important facts about the Circulatory System. 1. It takes 20 seconds for blood to circulate the entire body. Oxygenated blood leaves the aorta about 1 mile an hour. 2.The power output of the heart ranges from 1-5 watts per minute. 3. Ventricle means little belly in Latin where as Atrium is Latin for entrance hall. 4. Red blood cells live for up to 4 months and make approximately 250,000 round trips around the body before returning to the bones marrow, where they were born to die. 5.Human body is colorless, it is the hemoglobin that makes it red.
