About Lana Manitta

Before starting her career as a criminal defense attorney, Lana Manitta earned a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where she participated in a student litigation clinic. She also published a scholarly text, Broken Barriers in Legal Education: How Immigration and Integration Have Shaped the Way We Learn the Law, during her time at the university. Following graduation, Lana Manitta joined the law firm Martin & Arif in Springfield, Virginia. She quickly became an associate and practiced civil litigation, criminal defense, and family law.

In 2008, Manitta assumed her current role, as a partner at Rich Rosenthal Brincefield Manitta Dzubin & Kroeger, LLP, in Alexandria, Virginia. She primarily focuses on criminal defense for federal offenses and on highly disputed family law cases, as well as some commercial litigation. As a partner in the firm, she is also responsible for administrative functions like supervising junior attorneys and hiring personnel.

Lana Manitta has participated in numerous high-stakes cases over the course of her career, including the recent defense of an innocent man facing murder charges. In recognition of her dedication to high ethical standards, she has earned the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating.
