  • Polyester: Polyester is made from coal and petroleum. Its resistant to wrinkling, Its easy to care for, & It also pills easily. Common uses for Polyester are for childrens wear, shirts and suits.
  • Nylon: Nylon is first fiber to be manufactured totally from chemicals, its strong, durable, & elastic, it dries quickly, and it also resists wrinkles and soil. Common uses for Nylon are for swimwear, windbreakers, and hosiery.
  • Acrylic: Acrylic dries quickly, its strong, it pills easily, its soft and warm, and also resembles wool. The common uses for Acrylic are for terrycloth, bathrobes, outdoor furniture fabrics and awnings, and knitted garments.
  • Rayon: Rayon is soft, absorbent, and comfortable, its Inexpensive, Stretches and is weak when wet, It also mildews and wrinkles easily. The common uses are for linings, sports shirts, and jackets.
  • Acetate: Acetate very versatile, Inexpensive and easy to dye, Its silky, and luxurious, its deep luster, also soft, And it wrinkles easily. Some common uses for Acetate are for lingeries, neckties, and blouses.
  • Spandex: Spandex is known for its ability to stretch. Its resistant to lotions, oils, sun, and perspiration, and its easily damaged by chlorine bleach. Common uses for spandex are for swimwear, dance wear, and exercise wear.
