Why are teens so depressed and suicide today?!?!
BY: Hannah Liller
Suicide is the third-leading cause of death for young people ages 15 to 24. Depression not only affects teens, it affects children, adults and elders. It usually happens around the age 15 to 24, but that can vary. Teen females develop depression and have suicidal thoughts more than males. Depression is also hereditary, so it is more common to get it if your family members have had it.
Teens should get help for this disease because if they don't serious stuff can happen. They may start to self mutilate (cut themselves) or actually submit suicide. There are many places to get help, such as psychiatric hospitals, counselors. etc.
