-children spend most of the time observing and imitating (going through the sounds of the alphabet)

-understands common words (using words such as table,nose ,face,ect)

(2-3)

-Learns by exploring (discovering the bathroom sinks &toilets)

-Responds to simple directions (telling them to sit, eat, play)

Emotional Needs

(1-2)

-Expresses a wide range of emotions (being mad, happy, sad)

-Shows pride in new accomplishments (learning how to use the restroom)

(2-3)

-See's themselves as powerful (seeing there self as a super hero)

-Shows more awareness  (knows that the stove is hot)

Social Needs

1-2)

-likes being helpful (likes setting up the table)

-Likes being in charge(likes to take control)

(2-3)

-Starts saying 'NO' to adults directions

-Defends their properties (dosnt like sharing)

Physical Needs

(1-2)

-Able to walk backwards

-Dances to music

(2-3)

-Kicks ball

-Walks on tip toes
