-The story of John Napier-

John Napier was born on the first of march in 1944, in London. He began his journey into set design at the Hornesy College of art, and the Central school of arts and crafts, where he studied under the famous designer Ralph Koltai. He has designed many sets for Broadway and Westend, and earned a position at the royal Shakespearian Company. He has also designed for the Royal Opera House. Some notable sets he created were Peter Pan, Macbeth, King Lear, Cats, and his most recent set, Le miserables. John Napier has received many awards such as the society of Westend theatre awards, which he received twice. He received a tony award in 1987 for his designs on the Le miserables set.
