Finance Professional and Former Football Player
About Leonard Gotshalk
Leonard Gotshalk’s major athletic achievements can be traced back
to his days as a student at Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa,
California. Named team captain of both the basketball and football
teams, he also received two separate distinctions as most valuable
basketball player and all-conference football player. Going on to attend
Humboldt State University in Arcata, California, Leonard Gotshalk was
ultimately drafted into the National Football League (NFL).
Mr. Gotshalk played as an NFL offensive lineman for seven years. During this time, he was elected to serve as both a team captain and a player representative for the NFL Players Association. Before retiring from professional football in 1978, Mr. Gotshalk had already established himself as a finance professional with the pension and profit-sharing division of Santa Rosa’s Lincoln National Life Insurance. Since 1974, he has served as founder and president of Gotshalk Enterprises, a financial firm that handles a range of real estate development and investment transactions.
